Multi layered mixed mediums

Continuing with thoughts about painting and in relation to Matisse's ideas about the use of cut outs, I'm making more works that are layered using wood, pen, acrylic, oil, paraffin wax and mylar. The effect is intended to create a sense of multiple temporalities and spaces that are akin to accessing memory as well as referencing the way that we utilise technology to create a multi layered map of our surroundings and our experiences.
